This first design was the brainchild of a close friend of mine who studied at Kingston with me. He came up with the concept of creating a shelving bracket from a single piece of steam bent wood. With his permission I picked it up & developed a working design that brings form & function together in a harmonious way. The name Higgins pays homage to him & is the first step in what I hope to be a long journey of creative exploration using this ancient technique.
The Higgins can carry an evenly distributed maximum weight of 10kg when properly mounted on the wall. It must be installed on a solid wall or directly into studs of a timber framed wall. Four screws & four wall plugs are supplied with each piece. Please use the components provided when fixing the shelf to your desired surface.
